The Porters Lake Taekwondo Parents’ Association (PLTPA) supports the successful delivery of the annual White’s Taekwondo Tournament through coordinated volunteer efforts, fundraising initiatives, and operational assistance. This policy outlines the roles and responsibilities of the PLTPA in supporting tournament activities while contributing to athlete development and organizational sustainability.
The tournament canteen shall be organized and operated by PLTPA volunteers. Food and beverage items will be purchased using PLTPA general funds and/or provided through donations.
All proceeds generated from canteen sales shall be returned to the PLTPA general funds to support future programming, athlete initiatives, and association activities.
Tournament t-shirts shall be sold and distributed by PLTPA volunteers during the event. Revenue generated from t-shirt sales shall be directed to White’s Taekwondo in support of club operations and programming.
PLTPA volunteers shall coordinate the sale of 50/50 tickets during the tournament in accordance with applicable Nova Scotia fundraising and lottery regulations.
All proceeds from the 50/50 fundraiser shall be allocated to White’s Taekwondo in support of club operations and programming.
The PLTPA shall seek and coordinate sponsorship opportunities for major tournament trophies.
Funds obtained through trophy sponsorship shall be directed to the High Performance Team and distributed among active athletes in accordance with established team guidelines (see PLTPA Fundraising Policy).
